Lincoln-Way West Cheerleading Finishes Third in State
The squad's performance in the final round was enough to edge out other Southland contenders.

Lincoln-Way West cheerleading put in strong performances at state competition Friday and Saturday, earning a third-place finish overall in 2015 IHSA Medium Division competition.
The Warriors finished the prelims tied with Mascoutah for ninth place, and came into the finals ready to break free of the deadlock. The squad earned an 88.27 in the finals, behind Columbia’s 88.43 and champions Hampshire, with an 88.5.

Lemont High School, which sat at the top of the pack after prelims, finished in fourth place with an 87.80, followed by TInley Park High School, with an 87.43.
