Lincoln-Way West Football Advances to State Championship
Warriors win in semifinal matchup against Champaign Central.
If there was ever a doubt that Lincoln-Way West football would make school history, they pounded it into the turf at Tommy Stewart Field in Champaign.
In the program’s first appearance in a semifinal, the Warriors capped a 10-2 season with a dominating 42-14 win over their Class 5A semifinal competition Champaign Central—and they’re state championship-bound.
We’ll have more specifics later, but we’ll let you relish in the news that your Warriors, ranked 22nd in the state on MaxPreps.com, will be on the field Nov. 28 in DeKalb.
