LincolnWay Community Bank We CARE program supports area organizations dedicated to serving disabled children and adults

LincolnWay Community Bank’s We CARE program recently donated much needed supplies to Lincolnway Special Recreation Center in New Lenox and Shady Oaks Camp in Homer Glen.

We CARE is a community outreach program primarily funded by LincolnWay Community Bank employees to support local charitable and non-profit organizations. We CARE donated art supplies, games and musical instruments to the LincolnWay Special Recreation Center for use in its summer programs. We CARE also donated a wide range of arts and crafts and gardening supplies to Shady Oaks Camp for this summer’s camp.

“As a genuine community bank, we encourage all of our employees to actively participate in organizations that make our area a great place to live,” said LincolnWay Community Bank president, Mark Stevens. “Both Lincolnway Special Recreation Center and Shady Oaks Camp make a huge difference to many of the disabled members of our community.”

Lincolnway Special Recreation Association provides adaptive and special recreation services for individuals with disabilities through a cooperative agreement with Frankfort, Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox, Peotone and Wilmington Island Park Districts.

Shady Oaks Camp provides outdoor fun and recreation for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and is built around the special needs of these campers.
