A Joliet man was nabbed with “numerous bottles” of stolen booze after he was caught urinating outside a New Lenox Walgreens, police said.
Dearick Farr, 53, of 532 Pontiac St. was charged with retail theft, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license in connection with the July 28 incident.
A New Lenox police officer was sent to the Nelson Road Walgreens about 4 p.m. that day to look into a complaint about a man “urinating in public,” according to the cops.

The officer spotted a car matching that of the alleged urinator near the Jewel across the street, noticed the license plate was covered and pulled the driver over, police said.
“The officer discovered that Farr had a suspended license and he had numerous bottles of alcohol with Jewel tags on them that he could not provide a receipt for,” police said. “The officer discovered that Farr had just taken the bottles from Jewel without paying for them.”
