Community Corner

Living Nativity on Dec. 21 from 4-7 p.m.

Get yourself into the spirit of Christmas from the comfort of your vehicle!

Don’t miss this beautiful FREE re-creation of the Christmas story scenes - portrayed by live actors and animals! Enter the United Methodist Church of New Lenox property via the east-bound route 30 lane between Vine Street and South Cedar Rd. in New Lenox. Receive your free copy of the narration on CD (or a written narration if your vehicle cannot play CDs) and enjoy the Christmas story as you meander up our campground drive seeing the story unfold before your very eyes from the comfort of your own vehicle!

At the top of the drive, you are invited to park your car and enter the church building, passing the Holy Family scene with live carolers singing familiar Christmas songs. You are invited to share in the FREE hot chocolate and cookies in the Rev. William G. Johnson Fellowship Hall at this time and, if you wish to extend your evening of “getting into the spirit of Christmas” by partaking of the short communion service that will continuously cycle in the Sanctuary throughout the evening, please feel free to join us! There will be a sign in the Narthex as you enter the building showing the start time of the next short service!

This is the FREE GIFT from our church family to the community. Please, don’t miss this wonderful event!
