LW East Faces LW Central in First Round of High School Football Playoffs
Providence will face Quincy, LW North will face Wheaton-Warrenville South and LW West will face Morgan Park in pairings announced Saturday.
Playoff pairings were announced Saturday night by the IHSA.
IN DIVISION 7A
- No. 16 Quincy (5-4) at No. 1 Providence (8-1)
- No. 15 Lincoln-Way Central (5-4) at No. 2 Lincoln-Way East (8-1)
- No. 13 Wheaton Warrenville South (5-4) at No. 4 Lincoln-Way North (8-1)

LW East coach Rob Zvonar had this to say to the SouthtownStar’s Pat Disabato about the rematch: “Playing a team twice isn’t what you want to do, especially a district rival. ... We’re going to get our team prepared the best we can. But it’s not something we’re looking forward to.”
