LW West and LW Central Greet First Day of School
Rallies and helping hands greet students on their first day.

“Welcome back to your school,” Lincoln-Way Central Principal Steve Provis told the students as they entered the front door of Central on Tuesday, and again at the Opening Day School Assembly held in the field house.
Central students were also welcomed by the Central Welcome Crew; a group of 120 juniors and seniors who apply to be members of the special first day of school welcoming crew.
“We have a great group of seniors this year. This is the seniors last First Day,” added the principal.

“We have welcome members in their red t-shirts “Central Welcome Crew” all over the building looking for students who need help finding their classes. Welcome Crew leaders escort any and all students who are having trouble finding their classes or lockers,” said Provis.
At Lincoln-Way West High School, the School Rally began with the West Warrior Marching Band drum line leading students to the gymnasium for their assembly.

“Welcome to West!! It is your first day as a Warrior. Freshmen, we are so excited that you are here,” stated Dr. Monica Schmitt, principal.
Lincoln-Way West students were also told if they needed any help, to find a Warrior Way Leader in a pink shirt. Leaders were positioned all around the building to help new students find their classes.
