That’s one big fish!

Dan Butler just might hold the record of the largest fish ever caught at Hibernia Park in New Lenox, according to the New Lenox Park District’s Facebook page.

Butler reeled in a 46.7-pound catfish—the biggest fish the park district knows of. Butler caught it using a lipless crank bait that is actually for bass, the park district said.

“Thanks for following the rules Dan and releasing your great catch back into the lake,” the park district wrote. “Dan wants to give someone else a shot to possibly catch it when it gets even bigger.”
