Man Exposes Self, DUI: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox Police reports through Aug. 12.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Aug. 1

  • Charles Martin, 59, of Joliet, was arrested Aug. 5 for an incident which occurred at 1:42 p.m. in the 2500 block of East Lincoln Highway and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Martin had exposed his penis to someone inside the store.

  • A package was stolen from the 1700 block of Nelson Road.

Aug. 6

  • Someone set off a firework inside a brick mailbox in the 700 block of Stacey Drive.

  • Catherine Spearman, 24, of Gary, Indiana, was arrested at 2:46 p.m. at IHOP, 411 E. Lincoln Highway, for forgery. Spearman had paid for her meal with a counterfeit $100 bill. She had also passed a counterfeit $100 bill at Jewel, Buffalo Wild Wings, Beggar's Pizza and Culver's.
  • $1,000 worth of products from the pharmacy area was stoeln from CVS, 115 E. Lincoln Highway.

Aug. 8

  • A woman stole three bottles of alcohol, worth $163, were stolen from CVS, 115 E. Lincoln Highway.
  • Tami Cahill, 45, of Joliet, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. in the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway and charged with driving while license revoked.

Aug. 9

  • Hershel Evans, 48, of Chicago, was arrested at 8:49 a.m. in the 2400 block of East Lincoln Highway and charged with DUI-alcohol and illegal use of cell phone.
