Man Found Slumped Over In Car, Charged With Drug Possession: New Lenox PD
A Downers Grove man was charged after being found unresponsive inside a parked car, with cocaine in the passenger seat, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL — A Downers Grove man faces drug charges after police found him unresponsive and slumped over in a car outside a New Lenox gas station.
New Lenox police were called to the Food N Fuel, 2560 N. Cedar Road, just after 11:30 a.m. Jan. 20, for a report of a man found unresponsive inside a parked vehicle.
Police arrived and found a man slumped over in the driver’s seat. The man was later identified as John Pipowski, 51, of Downers Grove. A clear, plastic bag containing a white rock-like substance was visible on the passenger seat of the vehicle. The substance in the bag field-tested positive for the presumptive presence of cocaine.

Pipowski was taken into custody and transported to the New Lenox Police Department, where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, was processed and released.
