Will County Board District 12

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

There is a lot of traffic congestion in the county due to all the warehouses. I support road improvements which the county has in its 2050 plan. Some of the improvements planned for District 12 include making Laraway Road, North Cedar Road, Gougar Road and 80th Avenue four lanes.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have several years experience on the County Board as well as a former New Lenox Village Trustee.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:

I look forward to the completion of the new Will County Courthouse which will make the Will County courts more efficient. The completion of the new Health Department facility will also improve health services in Will County.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have assisted residents with zoning issues, flooding problems and changes in speed limits. I was the Chairman of the Land Use and Development Committee for several years.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?

I would like to see more improvements to county roads including Laraway Road, North Cedar Road, Gougar Road and 80th Avenue near Mokena.

Why should voters trust you?

My record of voting is open to public information. I have not received negative comment concerning the way I voted.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the use of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?

Last year I voted against levying the maximum amount of CPI for property tax increase. I also voted against increasing the motor fuel tax on gasoline and diesel fuel. I believe government should live within their means and not continue to increase taxes.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?

No

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I voted against recreational marijuana for unincorporated Will County. I am a veteran of the Illinois Army National Guard. A member of the Will County Local Emergency Planning Committee. A member of New Lenox Knights of Columbus. I am Treasurer of New Century Federal Credit Union. I have been endorsed by the mayors of New Lenox and Mokena.
