Popular Local Café Gives Away Free Beverages For Charity
Tropical Smoothie Café, the leading fast casual café concept known by New Lenox residents for its better-for-you food and smoothies, is launching its annual National Flip Flop Day fundraising efforts to encourage donations for Camp Sunshine. On June 19th, Tropical Smoothie Café will be offering free 24 oz. Jetty Punch smoothies to guests wearing flip flops between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Other activities taking place include raffles and door prizes.
Currently in its 9th year of giving back on National Flip Flop Day, Tropical Smoothie Café is dedicated to helping children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by raising funds to benefit Camp Sunshine, a resort that provides respite, support and joy to these children and their families in times of need. Tropical Smoothie Café is committed to reaching $1 million in donations this year and donation boxes will be placed in stores nationwide throughout the month of June.
“Camp Sunshine is a place where families can have fun in a safe and welcoming environment, and one of our favorite times of year is National Flip Flop Day when we do our part to give back to our charity partner,” said Theresa Knippen, owner of Tropical Smoothie Café of New Lenox. “We are honored to be a part of this annual celebration and rally local New Lenox residents to support this wonderful cause.
