New Dunkin' Donuts Almost Ready To Open
Patch visited the site of the new Dunkin' Donuts in New Lenox last week.

NEW LENOX, IL - Today is National Doughnut Day, and besides finding sweet deals at many of your local shops, we decided that Friday, June 1 would be a great time to circle back to a construction project that is of high interest to people in the Lincoln-Way area, people who use the Metra commuter train service in New Lenox. We're talking about the new Dunkin' Donuts being built near the New Lenox Fire Station along Route 30 near the heart of New Lenox. It's almost ready to open. Almost, but not quite.
New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann told Patch on Thursday that the new Dunkin' Donuts is certain to open its doors to customers during the month of June.
The building construction is done, but the operators are awaiting on additional electrical work and wiring to take place. Once the electrical work is done, the Dunkin' Donuts should be about ready to go.

This Dunkin' Donuts is expected to draw a ton of business from the adjacent commuter train parking lot used by Lincoln-Way's Metra riders. The new storefront will be operated by Amin Panjwani, who runs several of the Dunkin' Donuts in New Lenox.
