New Lenox Accepting Applications For Police Officer
The starting hourly salary is $28.75 and applications are due June 30.
NEW LENOX, IL — The board of fire and police commissioners for the village of New Lenox is now accepting applications for entry level police officers. The village website states that the starting hourly salary is $28.75 and applications are due June 30.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, have a valid driver's license, be at least 21 and under 35, and have a high school diploma and 30 credit hours at a college or university.
The village said testing is being done for immediate hires and to establish a new eligibility list for future hiring. New Lenox has a population of 28,000 and there are currently 37 sworn officers.
