New Lenox Approves $8.6 Million Bid For Metra Station
The station and plaza construction will be "substantially complete" by Nov. 14, 2020.
NEW LENOX, IL — At its Nov. 11 meeting, the New Lenox village board approved a bid award for the Metra station. According to board documents, there were 12 bidders for the project which was awarded to the lowest qualified bidder John Burns Construction Company with a bid of $8.638 million.
Board documents state that station and plaza construction will be "substantially complete" by Nov. 14, 2020. The rest of the work will be completed by July 30, 2021.
