New Lenox Approves Stop Sign At Charleston, Congress

The all-way stop sign will be installed at the intersection of Charleston and Congress drives.

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Village Board has authorized the installation of a new all-way stop sign at its Sept. 14 meeting. The stop sign will be installed at the intersection of Charleston and Congress drives.

"There were quite a few residents that have got young families out there that expressed their concerns," Mayor Tim Baldermann said during the meeting.

The board decided to waive the second read of the authorization, and approved the installation of the sign, especially since students may soon be returning to in-person learning.
