New Lenox Chamber Accepts Applications For Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Committee will award selected students with a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

NEW LENOX, IL — Each year, the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to graduating students from its three area high schools, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way West and Providence Catholic. According to a release from the chamber, the Scholarship Committee will award selected students with a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

You can apply online for the scholarship or at the chamber office, 1 Veterans Parkway. According to the chamber, applications should be return to the offices by mail or in-person on or before 5 p.m. March 5. A drop box will be available outside the Chamber office for students submitting applications outside of normal office hours.

To apply for the scholarship, students must be graduating seniors enrolled at one of the three high schools located in New Lenox: Lincoln-Way Central High School, Lincoln-Way West High School or Providence Catholic High School; they must reside in the Village of New Lenox or New Lenox Township; and students must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two or four-year college or university.
