New Lenox Cops Catch Wanted Rockdale Man

A wanted Rockdale man was pulled over and arrested by the New Lenox police Saturday afternoon.

Divonte Campbell, 24, was jailed on a warrant charging him with failing to appear in Will County court.

Campbell was pulled over shortly before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Route 30 and Interstate 80. An “officer observed a vehicle with expired registration and conducted a stop,” police said. “The officer discovered that the subject, Campbell, had a warrant for his arrest.”

Campbell was taken to the Will County jail. He was released less than two and a half hours later when he posted 10 percent of his $15,000 bond, according to jail records.
