New Lenox Cops ID Walmart Couch Crook: Police
The police are hunting for a man they say hoodwinked a Walmart employee into refunding him for a couch he never bought in the first place.

The New Lenox cops cracked the case of the Walmart couch refund racket.Police identified the alleged sofa stealer as Kuwuan Allen, 23, of Country Club Hills.
Allen allegedly duped an employee of the New Lenox Walmart into paying him a refund for a couch he had never bought in the first place.
Allen did this on Aug. 22, according to a criminal complaint on file at the Will County courthouse.

While Allen has been tabbed as the alleged furniture filcher, the New Lenox police said the exact same thing happened at the exact same store 16 days earlier.
That time, police said, the crook “selected a couch from the furniture area of the store, then brought the couch to the register and returned the couch for cash.”

Allen remains at large, and the police have released no information on the identity or whereabouts of the Aug. 6 Walmart couch thief.
