New Lenox District 122 School Calendar: First Day, Breaks

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox District 122 students will soon head back to school for the 2019-20 school year. District 122 has released its school calendar for the year, which is full of important dates to remember for both parents and students.

The calendar includes dates like winter and spring break, holidays, conferences and half days. Here is the list of days you should know for this school year:

August

• Aug. 21 - First day of school

September

• Sept. 2 - Labor Day, no school
• Sept. 13 - Teacher in-service day, half-day of school

October

• Oct. 14 - Columbus Day, no school
• Oct. 31 - Teacher in-service day, half-day of school

November

• Nov. 22 - Teacher in-service day, half-day of school
• Nov. 25, 26 - Parent teacher conferences, no school
• Nov. 27, 28, 29 - Thanksgiving break, no school

December

• Dec. 20 - Winter break begins at end of day

January

• Jan. 6 - Classes resume from winter break
• Jan. 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school

February

• Feb. 14 - Teacher Institute, no school
• Feb. 17 - Presidents Day, no school

March

• March 27 - Teacher Institute, no school. First day of spring break.

April

• April 6 - Classes resume from spring break
• April 10 - Good Friday, no school
• April 13 - Easter Monday, no school

May

• May 8 - Teacher in-service day, half-day of school
• May 25 - Memorial Day, no school
• May 27 - Graduation
• May 29 - Tentative last day of school (half-day)
