New Lenox Fire District Requests Vehicle Donations For Training

NEW LENOX, IL –The New Lenox Fire Protection District is currently requesting vehicle donations to be used for training in extrication and other skills.

“We are looking for cars, SUVs, trucks or vans,” NLFPD Training Officer and Lieutenant Brian Applegate, said in a release. “The donated vehicles really help us out by allowing us to train and refresh our skills when using our extrication tools, as well as practicing new techniques on vehicle stabilization.”

The vehicles must be a complete vehicle, but does not have to run, the district said. Vehicles need to have a title to be donated.
