New Lenox Gets Thai Restaurant
The first 100 customers will receive one free egg roll at next week's grand opening event.

NEW LENOX, IL - Anticipation around New Lenox is building for next Wednesday. Why? Because that's the day that New Lenox celebrates the grand opening of the community's first Thai restaurant. The New Lenox Chamber of Commerce has announced that Oy's Thai Cuisine will have a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24. The new Thai restaurant opens at 1880 East Lincoln Highway. It's in the commercial strip mall across the highway from Lincoln-Way Central High School.
"During the grand opening celebration, the first 100 customers will receive one free egg roll," the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce announced in a press release.
Oy's is operated by Oy and Bryan Hunsaker.

On Friday, New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann told the New Lenox Patch he believes Oy's will draw plenty of customers from not just New Lenox, but the entire Lincoln-Way area and perhaps beyond. "It will bring in a lot of people from outside the community, and we welcome that. We always like to see more new small business owners," Baldermann said. "It's a diverse food item, something we don't have, and it's nice to see different options for dining."
The New Lenox Chamber announced that Oy's specializes in authentic Thai cuisine, offering dine-in and carry-out options. "Oy’s has something for everyone and even has catering options!" Chamber CEO Emily Johnson wrote in her press release.
