New Lenox Girl Receives Make-a-Wish Gift

New Lenox resident Julia Pawlicki, 7, had her wish of going to Maui granted by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Pawlicki was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia in 2008. The Make-a-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Last week, Make-a-Wish held its annual donor reception at the Sunda New Asian restaurant in Chicago. Before the reception, Pawlicki joined two other wish recipients to roll sushi with executive chef Jess DeGuzman.
Pawlicki’s wish of going to Maui was granted in January 2011.
