New Lenox Holds Rail Safety Presentation
Even professional drivers can benefit from the topics that will be discussed during this 60-minute presentation.
NEW LENOX, IL — The village of New Lenox and its Safe Communities America Coalition will host a presentation on rail safety by Metra safety personnel at 7 p.m. March 26 at village hall. The village said Metra, in conjunction with the State of Illinois Operation Lifesaver Program, offers this free training throughout their service areas.
Operation Lifesaver is a program designed to promote railroad safety and awareness for children and adults of all ages. According to the village, even professional drivers can benefit from the topics that will be discussed during this 60-minute presentation.
Metra will also have an informational table at the event, which will include Metra and Operation Lifesaver safety items.
