New Lenox Holds Teen Driving Info Session For Parents
The program will feature guest speakers from the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, LW West's Driver's Ed Dept. and Country Financial.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition will hold "Teen Driver? What Every Parent Should Know" on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. at New Lenox village hall. The program is for parents of new teen drivers, the village said.
The free program will feature guest speakers from the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office, Lincoln-Way West High School Driver’s Education Department and Country Financial. The three components are the program include: a review of the Illinois’ Graduated Driver Licensing Program; an explanation of what the Driver’s Education curriculum entails, including the classroom and behind-the-wheel portions; and information for parents on how to instruct teen drivers during their 50-hours behind the wheel.
Everyone in attendance will receive a GDL Parent-Teen Driving Guide provided by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office and a “Student Driver” magnetic car sign from Rocky Dellamano, Country Financial.
