New Lenox Man Dies on U.S. 30 in Joliet Friday Night
Crash that claimed life of 82-year-old man took place at about 5:30 p.m.

An 82-year-old New Lenox man was killed Friday night after a two-car accident on US 30 in Joliet.
According to Illinois State Police District V Master Sgt. R.A. Caves, at 5:37 p.m. Friday, May 15, a Buick SUV was traveling on US 30 westbound and for an unknown reason crossed into the eastbound lanes and caused a head-on collision with a pick-up truck.

Three people from the vehicle that caused the crash were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Caves said. The driver and sole occupant of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
No alcohol and drugs were involved in the crash.
