New Lenox Man Remains Jailed For Domestic Violence

Will County Sheriff's police arrested Thomas K. Wood, May 27.

NEW LENOX, IL - A 50-year-old man who lives in the New Lenox area remains in the Will County jail a week after his latest arrest on charges of domestic violence. Authorities took Thomas K. Wood into custody on May 27 after an argument ensued between Wood and his 47-year-old female roommate, police said. "Thomas K. Wood had been drinking and began a verbal confrontation with her," sheriff's police reports indicate.

"The argument escalated as he then began pushing the victim against the wall. The victim attempted to remove herself from the situation by going into her bedroom. Wood entered the bedroom, jumped on the victim, and began choking and biting her," police stated.

In the bedroom, the woman was able to break free from Wood's grip and she called 911, police indicated. Knowing that the police were on their way, Wood bolted.
