New Lenox Man Surrenders Guns After Arrest

He faces four charges after his New Lenox Police Department arrest.

NEW LENOX, IL - A 32-year-old New Lenox man who lives in the 1600 block of Carlton Court now finds himself facing four criminal charges of domestic battery in connection with his arrest this month by the New Lenox Police. Randall Buttry, 32, spent July 12 in Will County's lockup but subsequently posted 10 percent of his $10,000 bail. His bail was set by third-floor Will County Judge Art Smigielski. The criminal complaint states that Buttry "pulled the hair" of the woman he is accused of hurting, that he grabbed her "about the body," that he struck her "about the body" and that he pushed her, all on July 8.

Although the judge gave the suspected domestic abuser a low monetary bail, the judge did impose a number of restrictions on the New Lenox defendant while out of custody.

  • Have no contact with the victim in the case.
  • Have no contact with an apartment building in Lansing, Illinois, in the 18500 block of Christina Drive.
  • Surrender his FOID card to the circuit clerk's office at the Will County Courthouse.
  • Surrender all of his guns to the New Lenox Police force.
