New Lenox Named One of Chicago's Best Suburbs for Young Couples

New Lenox is among the finest suburbs for young couples, according to a recent study by real estate blog Movoto.

New Lenox comes in at number 6 in the top 10, sandwiched between Glencoe and Mundelein. The website last year also dubbed New Lenox one of the most boring places in Illinois.

Here’s what Movoto had to say about New Lenox this time around:

• Population under five: 8.4 percent
• Married population: 63.4 percent
• Median household income: $93,609

“This village in Will County is known as a family-oriented community, where things like flag football, summer camps, spring break camps, holiday camps … okay, basically a camp for every day of the week, are not out of the ordinary.”
