New Lenox Native, Illinois State Student, Wins Startup Competition

New Lenox native and Illinois State University student Danny Petrow won Peoria Startup Weekend at Bradley University.

The victory in the contest, which was sponsored by Google. clears the way for Petrow and his team to move into the second phase.

"Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures," according to the Peoria Startup Weekend website. "It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 400 past events in 100 countries around the world in 2011."
