New Lenox Plans Fridays After Five In August, September

The Fridays After Five events will feature live entertainment as well as a variety of food trucks.

NEW LENOX, IL — While the popular Fridays After Five events are usually held throughout the summer in New Lenox, the village will still host two dates for the event this year, one in August and one in September. According to the Facebook event page, Fridays After Five feature entertainment as well as a variety of food trucks.

Admission to the event is free, and all ages are permitted.

The Friday After Five events will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 14, and Sept. 18 in the Commons. According to the event page, "Not Dead Yet" will perform in August, and "Midlife Crisis" will perform in September.

At the Aug. 14 event, food trucks on-site will include: Lil' Deb's, Mario's Cart, Cupcakes For Courage, MiaBella's Wood-Fired Pizza & Catering, Windy City Ice Cream, Smokin' Z BBQ, Smokin BBQ Kitchen and Tacos Maui.

At the Sept. 18 event, food trucks will include: Auntie Anne's, Creme of the Crop, Jimmy Jo's BBQ, Life's A Slice, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Smokin' Z BBQ, TCBY and Nikki Rae's Sandwiches.

Social distancing is encouraged, and there will be handwashing and hand sanitizing stations throughout the Commons.
