New Lenox Police Searching for Suspect in Armed Robbery of Smoothie Cafe
Police Wednesday released a surveillance image of the suspect.
New Lenox Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a robbery at Tropical Smoothie on Tuesday.
A man holding either a screwdriver or a knife entered the store at 1872 E Lincoln Hwy just after 6 p.m. and demanded cash. He fled on foot, and it’s unknown if he entered a vehicle, police said in a release.
The clerk described the suspect as a white male, approximately 20 years of age, 6 feet tall of thin build, with bushy eyebrows. He was wearing wire frame, rectangular glasses.
