Rifle-Wielding Robber Sticks Up 3 Stores in 4 Weeks

The working clothes-clad rifleman robbed a 7-Eleven, a cleaners and now a Walgreens.

A rifle-wielding, working clothes-clad robber has held up three New Lenox businesses in the last four weeks.

The bandit most recently struck early Sunday morning at the Walgreens on Nelson Road.

A witness “advised that an unknown male white, approximately 40 years of age, wearing construction type overalls, a black hat and black knit scarf over his face entered the store and went to the pharmacy area, displayed a silver and black rifle and demanded fentanyl,” police said. “The subject took the fentanyl the pharmacist gave him and left the store.”
