New Lenox Rotary Makes Another Donation To MorningStar Mission
Since 1909, MorningStar Mission has served men, women, children and entire families in Joliet and Will County, its website notes.

The following press release was submitted on behalf of the Rotary Club of New Lenox:
NEW LENOX, IL - To help others celebrate Christmas, the Rotary Club of New Lenox, with the Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West Interact Clubs, obtained 27 Stars of Hope from MorningStar Mission. Each Star of Hope has two stars, one that lists needs and one that lists wants. Rotarians and Interact Club members then took the sets of stars and purchased items to make others’ wants and dreams come true. The members met at the New Lenox Library to wrap the gifts to be delivered to MorningStar Mission and eventually to the people in need.Through the generosity of New Lenox Rotarians and Interact Club students, twenty-seven individuals will receive gifts this holiday season. Last year, MorningStar Mission distributed more than 12,000 gifts to over 500 families.
The Rotary Club of New Lenox is the local chapter of Rotary International, the second largest international service organization in the world, comprised of 1.2 million members in 33,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries. With the mission statement “Passionately Impacting our Community and the World through Service”, the Club is comprised of local business and community leaders that meet the second, third, and fourth Thursday at 7 a.m. at Country Charm Restaurant in New Lenox. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend, and Club members hope people will come for the networking and stay for the service. Please go to www.newlenoxrotary.org for more information.
