New Lenox Depot's Move Gets Delayed
The move was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 10.

NEW LENOX, IL - Tuesday's anticipated relocation of the New Lenox train depot to a farm in the Homer Glen area has been postponed indefinitely. Mayor Tim Baldermann told Patch that ComEd needs more time to make sure all of the power lines are disconnected and that area customers off Cedar Road are notified about the planned outage. "No new date has been set," Baldermann said Monday.
The train depot is being moved to a farm in the Homer-Glen area, according to the Chicago Tribune.
On Saturday, the New Lenox Area Historical Society announced on its Facebook page the the train depot's move to Konow's Farm was being postponed.

The announcement of the delay caught some people off-guard, prompting historical society officials to post the following message on their Facebook page: "This move has always been subject to availability of crews and high temperatures. ComEd cannot turn off power if there are any weather concerns or not enough crews are available."
