New Lenox Woman Caught Frankfort Man Rummaging Around Her Parked Car: Cops

The Frankfort man was captured and placed under arrest, police said.

The cops apprehended a Frankfort man after a New Lenox woman spotted him rummaging around in her parked car on New Year’s Day, police said.

The woman noticed 22-year-old Christopher Grainger was in her car shortly after 7 a.m., police said.

An officer was “dispatched to the 2200 block of Wellington (in) reference (to) a complaint of Grainger inside the (the woman’s) vehicle,” police said.

The woman “knew Grainger,” police said, and saw “him inside her vehicle and went outside to confront him,” police said. She “noticed he had some of her belongings in his hand and she took them back. He then left the scene and officers caught him and placed him into custody.”

Grainger was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He was released from custody after he posted bond.
