NL VFW 20th Annual Gene Hickmott Lucky Duck Race on Hickory Creek, Sun, June 7, 2026. Public Welcome
Our Annual Lucky Ducky race to raise funds to help Veterans. Tickets are available daily in the bar and at the Friday Fish Fry.
Come on out and join us on Sunday, June 7, 2026, for our “20th Annual Gene Hickmott Lucky Duck Race!”
The race starts at 1 p.m. on the Cedar Rd Bridge over Hickory Creek and ends at VFW Post 9545. First place is $500, second place is $200, third place is $100, and fourth and fifth places are $50 each. The rain Date is June 8th.

Donation: is $5 Bucks a Duck or 5 Ducks for $20 Bucks!
Duck adoption is available anytime at the Post Canteen and the Friday Fish Fry.
Refreshments and food will be available during and after the race.

This event is sponsored by the VFW Post 9545 Auxiliary to support VFW Post 9545 and all local Vets.
The winner need not be present at the time of the race, but we sure would love to have you join us there as they cross the finish line.
