NEW LENOX, IL - Here's your look at some of the criminal activity and incident reports that have kept the New Lenox Police Department busy of late. This edition of the New Lenox Police blotter covers Jan. 29-Feb. 4. Here are the highlights.

JAN. 29

RETAIL THEFT: At 9:17 a.m. "The officer was dispatched to Murphy Oil, 431 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to a Retail Theft report. The complainant advised that a subject stole several cases of beer from the gas station."

JAN. 31

CAR BURGLARY: At 2:14 p.m. in the 800 block of Stonegate Road. "The officer was dispatched to the NLPD in reference to a Burglary to Motor Vehicle report. The complainant advised that someone stole a purse from their unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight in their driveway."

FEB. 2

IDENTITY THEFT

Reported at 10:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of Kroll Court. "The officer was dispatched to Kroll Court in reference to an Identity Theft report. The complainant advised that someone obtained their personal information and attempted to make fraudulent charges to their accounts."

FEB. 3

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Reported at 1:48 p.m. at 120 Veterans Parkway. "The officer was dispatched to the New Lenox Library in reference to a Criminal Damage to Property report. The complainant advised that a library patron broke a VeriLux light and left the library while the NLPD was being called to the scene."

FEB. 4

RETAIL THEFT

Reported at 3:02 p.m. at 501 E. Lincoln Highway. "The officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a Retail Theft report. The complainant advised that an unknown subject loaded a shopping cart with over $400.00 worth of energy drinks and alcohol and exited the store without paying for the items. When the complainant approached the offender, the offender fled, leaving the shopping cart and all items behind."
