Not All Retail Thieves Get Away In New Lenox: Blotter

Here's a look at some of the retail thefts investigated by New Lenox Police last week.

NEW LENOX, IL - During the past week, a number of retail stores in New Lenox were targeted by thieves, people looking to steal merchandise from theses businesses. But some of them did not get away with their crimes. Here's a look at some of the retail theft cases that were investigated by the New Lenox Police Department:

Saturday, Sept. 22

At 6:49 p.m. police were called to the Walmart on East Lincoln Highway. The complainant advised that the offender, Angelo Parra, 24, of the 500 block of Algonquin Street, in Joliet, had stolen approximately $90.00 worth of miscellaneous items from the store. Parra was transported to the NLPD. Parra posted bond and was released.

Friday, Sept. 21

At 4:34 p.m. police were called to the Target at 2370 East Lincoln Highway. The complainant advised that the offender, Staphanna Brown, 24, of the 800 block of Ann Street, Joliet, had stolen over $150 worth of liquor from the store. Brown was transported to the NLPD. Brown posted bond and was released.

Friday, Sept. 21

At 7 p.m., police were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft. The complainant advised that a female offender stole approximately $260 worth of computer equipment from the store. No arrest has been made in connection with this case as of Monday, Sept. 24.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

At 7:56 p.m, police were sent to the Jewel at 475 Nelson Road in reference to a retail theft. The complainant advised that two men entered the store and stole food items. No arrest has been made in connection with this case as of Monday, Sept. 24.
