Lucy Juliana Pluth, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at the age of 77, in the early morning of Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Silver Cross Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Lucy was born in Pacentro, Italy on August 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Silvio and Loretta (nee DiGiovine) Corsetti.

Lucy studied general science/pre-physical therapy at Northern Illinois University and received her physical therapy degree from Northwestern University. She worked as a physical therapist for her whole professional career. She devoted much of her free time to helping others and was very involved in her church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Park Forest, IL.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joseph Pluth; her daughter, Sara (Mark) Calhoun; two sons, Matt (Bre) Pluth, and David (Alicia) Pluth; three grandchildren, Hannah Pluth, Veronica and Will Calhoun; and her siblings; Victor (Barbara) Corsetti, Peter (the late Anna) Corsetti, Paul (Nancy) Corsetti, and Connie (Mark) Carey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, older brother Carmen Corsetti and older sister Vera Corsetti.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 2, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 227 Monee Rd., Park Forest, IL 60466. As per her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will take place privately by the family at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Catholic Church of St. Mary, 212 Monee Rd., Park Forest, IL, 60466.
