Michelle Marie Yeager, 53, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Loyola Medical Center after a tough battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Born on July 8, 1973, in Joliet, Illinois, Michelle was the beloved daughter of Steven Lee and Barbara Pohlers.

Michelle found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the people she loved most. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and rarely missed a game. She also enjoyed watching WWE and car races, especially when her husband was behind the wheel. One of her favorite traditions was going out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Above all, Michelle treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to her three sons and welcomed each of their wives into the family with open arms, embracing her daughters-in-law with the same love and affection she shared so freely. She especially cherished spending "girl time" with her granddaughters, creating memories they will hold close to their hearts forever. Known for her generous spirit, Michelle delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and bringing smiles to their faces. Her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family were the hallmarks of her life and will remain her lasting legacy.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Cale Michael Yeager; her father, Steven (Barb) Lee; her three sons, Corey (Racheal) Yeager, Joshua (Johna) Yeager, and Andrew (Hillery) Yeager; grandchildren, Jeremy and Dehaila Looman, Mekah Roberts, Dominic Cramer, Emily Yeager, Johnathan Roberts, Gabriel Yeager, Lilah Kramer, and Nicolas Yeager; great-grandchild, Archie Looman; one brother, Leaf Morgan; her father-in-law, Michael Yeager; and her two dogs and one cat.

She is preceded by her mother, Barbara Pohlers

A Memorial Gathering for Michelle Marie Yeager will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m.As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
