Paul David Page, age 79, of Morris, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 25, 1947, in Sullivan, Indiana, Paul was the son of the late Rein C. and Helen (Conklin) Page.

Paul graduated from Carlisle High School in Carlisle, Indiana, with the Class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning the National Defense Service Medal. Following his military service, he attended Vincennes University, receiving an Associate's degree in 1973, and later graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in 1975.

Paul dedicated much of his professional life to serving others as a Certified Public Accountant. After retiring from accounting, he found great enjoyment driving a school bus for First Student. Later, he joined the staff at the Morris Quality Inn (formerly the Holiday Inn), where his friendly personality and genuine interest in others made a lasting impression on guests and coworkers alike. Paul never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He had a lifelong fascination with steam locomotives and their history, loved dogs, and enjoyed supporting the arts in his community. Paul was a familiar face at productions of the Morris Theater Guild and looked forward each year to attending the Morris and Minooka High School Madrigal Dinners. Above all else, Paul cherished his family. He took great pride in their accomplishments and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. His humor, kindness, gentle spirit, and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Paul was a member of American Legion Post 294 and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris.

He is survived by his son, Paul (Ellen) Page; his grandchildren, Elizebeth Knop, Isabella and Brianna Benson, Rebecca and David Page; his great-grandchildren, Piper and Kieran Kennard; his brother, William "Bill" Page; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rein C. and Helen Page; his brothers, Thomas A. Page, Robert E. Page (Lt. Col., U.S. Air Force, Ret.), and John Patrick Page; his sisters, Rosemarie Page, Rita Ann (Charles) Berkey, and Adelia "DeeDee" (Dr. Charles) Nichols; his nephew, Michael Page; his sister-in-law, Jeannette Page; and his two great-grandchildren, Mia and Madison Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name may be made to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care.

A Memorial Visitation for Paul Page will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m.

Private inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.

Paul's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness shown to him and to those who loved him during his final days.

Paul will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering willingness to help others, love of learning, and deep devotion to his family. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
