Orland Park Woman Nabbed in Merchandise Return Scam at New Lenox Service Station: Cops

The woman totaled more than $100 in "false returns," police said.

An Orland Park woman’s scheme to scam a New Lenox service station by making phony returns backfired when she was arrested, police said.

Angelica Matthiesen, 27, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon and charged with theft.

An officer was sent to the Speedway station at 939 S. Cedar Road about 2:15 p.m. and was told “Matthiesen made several false returns totaling over $100,” police said.

Matthiesen was released after she posted bond.
