Pedestrian Struck By Metra Train In New Lenox
Outbound and inbound trains were delayed until 9:50 a.m. Wednesday due to the incident.
NEW LENOX, IL — A pedestrian was struck by a train in New Lenox on Wednesday morning. According to Metra, train 506 on the Rock Island line was involved in the incident.
Inbound and outbound train movement was halted near New Lenox around 9 a.m. due to the incident, Metra said. Trains were departing from the Mokena station, but Joliet trains to Chicago were operating again by 9:50 a.m.
