Pepper-Sprayed Man Wants $4 Million From Silver Cross Hospital

The Joliet man, acting as his own attorney, has asked Will County to award him millions in damages.

JOLIET, IL - A Joliet man who believes in his cause has filed a civil lawsuit against Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox seeking up to $4 million. Greg Adams, who lives in the 200 block of Richards Street, filed his pro se civil suit on November 16 at the Will County Courthouse. Besides Silver Cross Hospital, Adams also listed Damien Gant and Larry Tate, security officers at Silver Cross, as additional defendants.

Adams wrote out his lawsuit by hand rather than type it up as lawyers do. His entire lawsuit consists of four bullet points, roughly two paragraphs in its entirety.

"On November 18, 2015, I was a patient at Silver Cross Emergency Room when I was accosted by two employees of Silver Cross Hospital Damien Gant and Larry Tate acting in their capacity as security for Silver Cross Hospital," Adams alleges.
