The Provena Healing Arts Community Open House took place on Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m. until noon.

"We really want to show the building off," said Beth Hughes, CEO and president of Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. "We're incredibly proud of it. And, it's different, so we want everybody to see it's not your typical medical office building."

Residents were able to meet doctors, learn about Provena's diagnostic tools, have free screenings, partake in raffles to win items such as Chicago Bears tickets and watch a facial rejuvination demonstration, while they explored the new medical center.

Kathy Haas of New Lenox said of the Pavillion, "The spa is awesome. The reception is awesome. Everything is awesome."

For those that brought their children, entertainment was provided to them, as well. A magician and Batman were outside of the Pavillion to greet residents as they walked into the building. Once inside, there was a 'teddy bear clinic,' so children could learn how to take care of his or her doll.
