SATURDAY, APRIL 7

Dirt Stolen

Someone stole dirt from a vacant lot in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive.

DUI Charge

Bruce Galassini, 42, of Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Police responded to a car accident near Cedar Road and Route 6 and said they discovered Galassini had been drinking. Neither Galassini nor the driver of the other car were injured. 

Credit Fraud

A resident told police someone used his credit card information to make about $1,600 in purchases.

Battery

Carol Conte, 32, of the 200 block of Woodlawn Road in New Lenox, and Krista Murray, 27, of the 300 block of Circlegate Road in New Lenox, were both charged with battery. Police responded to a call at Murray's home and said the two women had a physical altercation. 

THURSDAY, APRIL 5

Possession of Drug Equipment

Courtney Erickson, 19, of Manhattan, was charged with possession of drug equipment after police stopped her for driving with one headlight. 

Washer/Dryer Theft

Someone stole a washer and dryer from a garage in the 2800 block of Sharon Drive. Police said a man told someone in the home that he had made an arrangement to pick up the units. Later, the resident realized his parents never made any such arrangement. 

Credit Fraud

A resident told police that someone used his credit card information to make about $2,500 in purchases. 

Property Damage

Someone shattered a window to a front door to a building in the 1200 block of North Cedar Road. 

Walmart Theft

Lateisha Iqbal, 37, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft. Police said she stole $20 of items from Walmart without paying. Iqbal was also booked in the county jail on a warrant for her arrest for a previous burglary.
