Presence St. Joseph Medical Center Wins Business of the Year in New Lenox

Presence St. Joseph Medical Center has won this year’s New Lenox Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award.

Each year the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce honors one business with its most prestigious award, Business of the Year.

The winner is chosen by a committee consisting of the Chamber’s Executive Committee and the three most recent recipients of the award. The committee considers criteria that includes, but is not limited to being a chamber member in good standing, supporting chamber initiatives and serving as a business leader and partner in the community. While the Chamber has many businesses that meet these criteria, the selection committee must narrow it down each year to choose one.

At the annual Chamber Holiday Celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 9, Lisa Kline, Chamber President (Vice President, Suburban Bank and Trust) announced that this year’s recipient is Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Presence has been a member of the New Lenox Chamber since 2003 and over the past year has sponsored a number of Chamber events, including the Valedictorian sponsor for the Chasing the Sun 5K Race and Fitness Walk. John Lofky, Director of Regional Operations, Presence Medical Group, and Elizabeth Schwenke, Manager, Community Outreach & Senior Spirit, Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, joined Ms. Kline and Emily Johnson, Chamber CEO, on stage to receive their award.
