Providence Catholic to Host Spring Concert and Art Show

Save the date for May 18.

Providence Catholic High School’s Fine Arts Department will host its annual Spring Concert and Art Show on Monday, May 18. The art show will begin at 6 pm in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Gymnasium and will feature outstanding student artwork. The concert will start at 7 pm in the Sacred Heart Gymnasium and will feature the talented musicians of the PCHS bands and choirs. Both events are open to the public and admission is free. Providence Catholic is located at 1800 W. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox. Please enter through door #9.

The Band will be premiering an original work commissioned for the Providence Catholic Band: Symphony No. 1: Far Beyond the Stars by Director Robert J. Sanchez. This piece is dedicated to all of Mr. Sanchez’s students past, present, and future. They will also be playing Sanchez’s The American Dream. Additional literature will include Esprit de Corps by Robert Jager, featured as part of The Spirit of Providence’s 2011 Marching Band Production of “This is a Marching Band” andSomeone Like You by Adele, featured as part of The Spirit of Providence’s 2012 Production of “The Human Network.”
