Providence Catholic Hosts Junior High Academic Bowl
More than 200 seventh and eighth students showed off their academic prowess.

Providence Catholic High School (PCHS) recently hosted its fourteenth Annual Academic Bowl competition that welcomed more than 200 seventh and eighth grade students. Participants competed in several subject areas including Language Arts, Social Science, Science, Mathematics and Geography. Students earned personal scores in each subject area, which were tabulated and compared to their peers. An award presentation took place following the competition. Trophies were awarded to the top four teams at both grade levels, as well as to the top five individuals in each subject area.
“This is a great opportunity for students from the surrounding area to familiarize themselves with academic competition and test their knowledge,” said Mrs. Janlyn Auld, Assistant Principal at PCHS.
